2010 will be our eighth season and we expect it to be as exciting as ever. Women's lacrosse at Neuqua Valley has come a long way in a few short years.
2003
- In our inaugural year we had 30 girls who played 4 scrimmage games over 6 weeks
2004
- We signed on as an "emerging sport" using the Neuqua Valley name
- Joined IHSWLA (Illinois High School Women?s Lacrosse Association)
- Fielded two teams (JV1 & JV2) with 48 girls
- Held the first Wildcat Classic Tournament with 12 teams participating
2005
- Participation grew to 64 girls on three teams - Varsity, JV and Frosh/Soph
- Our first-year Varsity team was the DuPage Upstate Eight Conference Champions
- 2nd Annual Wildcat Classic doubled in size over the previous year.
2006
- Varsity team went 9-9-1 playing many of the top teams in the state
- Defended DuPage Upstate Eight Conference title
- JV team had an impressive season record of 13-3-3 and took 2nd place in the Third Annual Wildcat Classic
2007
- The program took a team to Jacksonville, FL over Spring Break
- Wildcat Classic continued to be a huge success, growing to 31 teams and generating funds for the NVLAX program
Varsity
- Record was 17-3-1
- Undefeated in DuPage Upstate Eight Conference play and conference champions for the third straight year
- Advanced for the first time into the third round of the state playoffs
- Ranked #6 in the state at the end of the season
JV
- Record was 16-3-1
- Undefeated in conference play
- Placed second in the Wildcat Classic
2008
- The program took a team to Austin, Texas over spring break
- Wildcat Classic once again a big success with 32 teams participating!
Varsity
- Record we 15-5 overall
- Upstate Eight Conference Champions for the fourth straight year
- Advanced into the third round of the state playoffs to finish eighth
- Record was 17-1 overall
- JV- Undefeated in regular season play
- JV Placed second in Wildcat Classic Tournament
2009
- Varsity - record was 7-7-1 overall
- After graduatin 16 seniors, 2009 eas a season for work with much young, athletic talent emerging.
